Finnish team RCTIC take first place at the AlienTech AllStars tournament in Porto, Portugal after defeating k1ck 2-0 in the grand final (16-14 on de_dust2 and 16-13 on de_cbble). Taking place in the same weekend as IEM San Jose, the AlienTech AllStars CS:GO event brought together ten Portuguese teams and six foreign teams in the city of Porto, Portugal for €6,000 in cash prizes plus Ozone gear. Foreign teams ranged from Estonia to Sweden and featured players such as Alexander "SKYTTEN" Carlsson attending in mixes, as the event itself played out in a round robin group stage and then with single elimination playoffs.
All the teams from abroad except for Lithuania's GameplayDNA made it out of groups and it was there that teams such as Keyd Stars, Publiclir.se, Epsilon, OnlineBOTS, and AlienTech all fell in the playoffs. The grand finals therefore saw Slaava "Twista" Räsänen & co. of RCTIC take on Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes' k1ck squad and it was the Finns who emerged the victor with close map wins in the best-of-three grand final: 16-14 on de_dust2 and 16-13 on de_cbble.
